The
Latin Chamber of Commerce of USA - CAMACOL jointly with the City of Doral and
Miami Dade County, presented a Business Symposium on Thursday, August 20th,
2015 at the Doral City Hall, to promote CAMACOL's next upcoming Business
Development Trade Mission to Panama, to be held from September 27 - 30,
2015.
The event was presided by Ms.
Betty Gradera, Corporate Relations Events Manager for CAMACOL, who later
at the event made a presentation on the many benefits, which CAMACOL offers
to the business community especially in international trade, promoting
Florida's exports through its flagship program, the Hemispheric
Congress.
The event was hosted on behalf
of the City of Doral and its Honorable Mayor Luigi Boria, Vice Mayor Sandra
Ruiz, and Councilman Pete Cabrera, who also presented a plaque to CAMACOL in
honor of the chamber's 50th Anniversary.
The Honorable Commissioner Jose
"Pepe" Diaz from Miami Dade County District 12 and Chair of the
Board of Directors of the International Trade Consortium of Miami - Dade
County, provided the Welcome Remarks and spoke about the importance of
international trade in Miami Dade County.
The Honorable Commissioner
Wifredo "Willy" Gort, from the City of Miami, and Chairman of
CAMACOL'S Hemispheric Congress spoke about CAMACOL's efforts in
promoting Miami and Miami Dade County as the Gateway to Latin America.
Mr. Manuel Gonzalez, Chief of the Economic Development & International
Trade Unit for Miami Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic
Resources made a presentation on Panama's trade update with Florida.
The event was very well
attended and guests stayed after the presentation to enjoy a networking
reception.
