in a magazine-style format with a focus on helping Florida companies
connect with global markets through exporting. The Guide provides
Florida small and medium-sized businesses with key resources for

and other helpful information. The 2016

Farnborough International Airshow is a global showcase for the
aerospace industry and its reputation alone attracts a global audience.

Medical
Fair Asia is Southeast Asia’s most definitive event for the medical and
healthcare industry and will be held at a new venue – the Marina Bay
Sands Convention Center in Singapore. Medical Fair Asia is well
positioned to be the No.1 procurement stage for industry professionals
to experience new and innovative technologies, solutions, products and
services. With an anticipated participation of 1,000 exhibitors form 45
countries, 20 national pavilion and country groups and an expected
attendance of 15,000 qualified trade buyers and decision makers from
across Asia. At this event, new digital healthcare solutions such as
remote and wireless healthcare, IT platforms, wearable devices, smarter
medicine and healthcare analytics are also expected to be showcased by
participating exhibitors. Focused on equipment and supplies for the
hospital, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical and rehabilitation
sectors, the event continues to raise the overall capabilities and spur
the growth of the region’s medical and healthcare sectors to meet the

Enterprise
Florida (EFI) is pleased to announce its support for SMM Hamburg. The
bi-annual SMM Hamburg is the world’s largest B2B international trade
show for the commercial marine industry. In 2014, SMM Hamburg featured
over two thousand exhibitors, and fifty thousand visitors. Independent
space at SMM Hamburg is virtually sold out however Enterprise Florida
is working with the U.S. show organizer to secure space for Florida
companies within the USA Pavilion. This is a U.S. Department of
Commerce certified event meaning on-site Commerce staff will provide
support to all U.S. exhibitors.

Europeans
regard the Yachting Festival Cannes (Cannes International Boat Show) as
the first boat show of the nautical season. It comes at an ideal time
at the close of summer and attracts more than 50,000 boat owners and
marine industry distributors looking for the latest in technology,
innovation, luxury and performance. Coupled with the magical appeal of
the French Riviera, it is no wonder that the show remains the premier
boat show in all of Europe.
In 2015, there were 496 exhibitors from 37 countries. In addition to a
wide range of marine components and accessories, there were 579 yachts,
103 sailing boats, 38 multihulls and 132 boats over 20 meters in length
on display. The show features three distinct exhibition areas offering
boat builders, brokers and manufacturers of equipment and specialty
items an optimum location. Boat builders and brokers have a further
option to display in or out of water.

MEDICA,
the premiere global Life Sciences/Medical trade show takes place
annually in Düsseldorf, Germany. This November 14-17, 2016, many of
Florida’s top medical companies will promote their goods and services from
the Florida Pavilion for the 21st consecutive year. MEDICA 2015
featured 5,000 exhibitors, two-thirds of them from abroad. The show
attracted 130,000 visitors from nearly 120 countries; 40% were from
countries other than Germany. In fact, with 500 exhibiting companies
from the United States and 45 exhibiting companies from Florida, MEDICA
continues to set records. A particularly high percentage of visitors
come from overseas markets such as Asia, Australia, North Africa, Latin
America, and from Arab countries. MEDICA visitors who attend the show
are professionals there to make significant buying decisions.

but do you know how much they want to buy our goods? In fact, U.S.
goods are in very high demand and Asian consumers will pay a premium
for American quality. This special event will provide you with the
necessary tools to sell to this region, information on The
Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Free Trade Agreement and strategies on
how to protect your competitive advantage. You will learn how to
identify demographics and trends; select potential partners among
diverse local options; and understand cultural norms that permeate the
region. This course is designed for businesses new to export or
entering this new export market. The guest speaker is Diane Farrell,
Global Markets Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia at the U.S.
Department of Commerce International Trade Administration. This event
is hosted by the FSBDC at the University of South Florida and the Tampa
Bay Export Assistance Center.

For the third consecutive year, Istanbul will host the
most important pharma gathering in the region for you to meet
suppliers, as well as to build new partnerships and gather insight on
the market. CPhI Istanbul, and its co-located events, bring together local
Turkish and regional drug manufacturers with global suppliers of raw

ACE is the Place for Filing Export Declarations

Exporters need to know how to use the US Customs and
Border Protection Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Portal to file
electronic export information on the Automated Export System of the
Bureau of Census (AES). While the government has been charged with
easing the process of exportation, shippers, sellers, filers, brokers
and agents are finding huge delays in getting the necessary releases
from the USA to overseas. This is a one day workshop provided by
industry and government experts. A fee of $150 per person applies with

pre-register as a Florida Delegate to the 39th Annual Joint Meeting of
the Japan-U.S. Southeast & Southeast U.S. Japan Associations. This
prestigious annual event will be held in Tokyo, Japan on September
20-22, 2016 at the Imperial Hotel. A State of Florida senior official
is expected to officially lead the Florida Delegation to the 39th
Annual Joint Meeting. In addition to the SEUS member state
governors/head of delegations, senior officials of Japan and the U.S.
are expected to attend; total attendance is projected at approximately
400 participants. Ambassador Caroline Kennedy is expected to once again
serve as a keynote speaker this year. The Florida Delegation will hold
its annual meeting of members in conjunction with the joint meeting on
the afternoon of September 20, immediately prior to a welcome reception
for all participating Japan and SEUS delegates. The meeting will
provide a unique opportunity for delegates to renew, expand and develop
