The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, is the
3rd largest economy in Asia and the world's 7th largest. Comprised of 10
member states: Indonesia; Malaysia; Philippines; Singapore; Thailand;
Brunei; Vietnam; Laos; Myanmar; and Cambodia, they represent more than
1.7 million square miles—over half the size of the continental United
States—and a population of 626 million with an economy valued at $2.4
trillion. The ASEAN marketplace offers many opportunities for Florida
companies looking to export their products and services to that
region.
