Enterprise Florida announces that a limited number of Target
Sector Trade Event Grants are available for the upcoming Marine Equipment
Trade Show (METS) in Amsterdam in November 2013. Florida companies must
meet SBA and Enterprise Florida eligibility criteria and submit a
fully-completed application in order to be considered. Applications
will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis and the completed
application must be received no later than October 16, 2013. The grant
application forms can be accessed from the title link.

Enterprise Florida Inc. is
compiling an accurate, up-to-date Directory to catalog Florida’s
aviation/aerospace and defense companies and their capabilities. This
Directory will be used as one of the primary tools for marketing
Florida’s aviation/aerospace and defense industries. It will be
distributed to industry professionals during all Team Florida Missions,
international events and programs in which EFI participates. Targeted
international distribution will include leading global aviation events
such as the Paris Air Show, Farnborough Air Show, Singapore Air Show, and
through EFI’s network of international offices.

Workforce Florida, Inc. has
launched a Quick Response Training Challenge Grant available to companies
in Florida’s logistics and trade industry. With two million in
funding, these special time-limited grants will provide partial
reimbursement for trade and logistics companies that need workforce
training for current or new employees. The Challenge Grant will be offered
to companies involved in moving freight, both by land, sea, air, or rail,
and to logistics companies.

MEDICA, the premiere global
Life Sciences/Medical trade show will be an opportunity for many of
Florida’s top medical companies to promote their goods and services at
the Florida Pavilion for the 18th consecutive year. MEDICA 2012 featured
a record-breaking 5,000 exhibitors, two-thirds of them from abroad. The
show attracted 130,000 visitors from nearly 120 countries; 40% were from
