Enterprise Florida announces
that it is partnering with the U.S. Commercial Service and the National
Marine Manufacturer’s Association (NMMA) in promoting the U.S. Pavilion
at the 2015 Cartagena International Boat Show (CIBS). One of the oldest
democracies in Latin America, Colombia has a growing middle income

Secretary of Commerce Gray Swoope on an Export Development Trade
Mission to Peru scheduled for March 2015. Peru is Florida’s eighth
largest trading partner. More than $2.8 billion in Florida products
were exported to Peru last year, and Peruvian imports totaled $2.6
billion. In 2013, Peru achieved its 15th consecutive year of economic
growth at 5% and Peru continues to be one of the best performing
economies in Latin America. Projections include a 4% growth rate in
2014 and 5% in 2015, estimates that are still considered to be below
the country’s potential.
Recognizing the vast potential to expand Florida trade within this
market, Enterprise Florida (EFI) will lead an Export Development
Mission to Peru as part of its strategy to market Florida exports in
Latin America. EFI will offer a limited number of Gold Key
Matchmaking one-on-one appointments through the U.S. Commercial Service
for participating Florida companies. The price of this service is
$1,050.00. However small and mid-sized Florida manufacturers and
eligible high tech companies and professional service providers
may qualify for a Gold Key Grant, which will offset 100 percent of the
Matchmaking Registration fee for the first company representative. A
Delegate option is available as well for $500.00 per person.
Delegate Package Registration Deadline: February 20, 2015

development and there is no development without security. These
national goals were well thought out, as they represent significant
business opportunities for the private security industry. That is why
the Mexican Government and the Security Cabinet have focused funding to
improve areas including communications security, weapons, training,
land, air and sea vehicles, tactical teams, intelligence systems and
more. Join Enterprise Florida and exhibit at the largest security and
safety show in Latin America. Enterprise Florida has been designated
space at this show and will provide a turnkey booth package for
companies looking to participate in this show.

The Kingdom of
Morocco is located on the Northwest corner of Africa with a population
of 33.2 million people, a GDP of over $185 Billion and experienced a
5.1% growth rate in 2013. Governed as a Constitutional Monarchy,
Morocco also prides itself as the first country to recognize The United
States of America as an independent country.
As the most stable country in North Africa, Morocco is the first and
only country in Africa to sign a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the
United States. This FTA eliminates tariffs on over 95% of currently
traded U.S. consumer/industrial goods exported to Morocco, provides
enhanced protection for U.S. intellectual property rights, including
trademarks and copyrights, and imposes tough penalties for piracy and
counterfeiting.
U.S exports to Morocco exceeded $2.5 Billion in 2013, up 14% from the
previous year. With the recently completed port enhancements,
particularly at the “Tanger-Med Port” in Tangiers, Morocco is
positioning itself as the regional hub into Africa for shipping,
logistics, assembly production and sales.
Mission participants will benefit from business meetings and networking
events with both the private and public sector. Qualified Florida
companies may also apply for grants to receive “Gold Key Services”
through the U.S Commercial Service.

This two-day program is led by BIS professional counseling staff and
provides an in-depth examination of the Export Administration
Regulations (EAR). The program will cover information exporters need to
know to comply with U.S. export control requirements on commercial
goods. The seminar will focus on what items and activities are subject
to the EAR; steps to take to determine export licensing requirements
for your item; how to determine your export control classification
number (ECCN); when you can export or reexport without applying for a
license; export clearance procedures and record keeping requirements;

concepts; and real life examples in applying this information.
Export Control Reform - February 12, 2015
This one-day training course is designed to provide in-depth exposure
to core elements of the Export Control Reform (ECR) initiative.
Regulatory, compliance, and engineering officers will provide training
on the key elements ranging from licensing issues to "specially

Trade Authorization. The course will focus on new and different
compliance requirements. This course will be useful to defense
exporters with relatively limited exposure to the regulatory
requirements of the Export Administration Regulations, and to exporters
who now will be able to support U.S. military items without incurring
