The Team Florida Trade Mission to South Africa offers Florida companies an opportunity to identify new prospects and expand their current business activities in the South African marketplace. This multi-faceted event offers a combination of one-on-one prescheduled appointments and high level networking opportunities to qualifying Florida companies.
Florida exporters are well-positioned to gain from entry into the South African market. Several of our Florida cities, air and seaports, and universities already have sister-city/sister-port relationships or long standing exchange programs with counterparts in Africa. Florida’s geographic location makes us the closest U.S. State to Africa.
South Africa, the 26th largest economy in the world, is one of the most stable markets in Africa and remains within the top 50 destinations for Florida-origin exports. With an emerging middle-class, South Africa has a number of well-developed sectors including: financial, legal, communications, energy and transportation that can yield many opportunities for Florida companies. With the 2.8% growth of the South African economy in 2010, Florida companies can benefit from pursuing this market of interest.

Invitation to Buyers Trade Mission in Costa Rica (Sept. 6-9, 2011)
OFFICE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & INTERNATIONAL TRADE OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY sent us this invitation:
PROCOMER, the Costa Rican Trade Office, invites Miami-Dade County companies in the food industry to participate in the XIII Buyers Trade Mission (BTM 2011) to be held at the Ramada Herradura Convention Center Hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica from September 5th thru the 9th, 2011. This trade mission brings together international buyers from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, the CARICOM islands, Panama, China, and the European Union. Distributors and international wholesalers and retailers will attend pre-established business meetings with Costa Rican exporters and manufacturers.
PROCOMER will offer participating companies of Miami-Dade County the following on a complementary basis:
· Breakfast (for one representative from each company)
