on November 3-4, 2010 in Orlando.   Here's what you can expect:

Ø  Want to stay current on manufacturing trends?  We have an agenda that hits
all the hot topics of the day for manufacturers – international business, workforce
and education development, incentives and grants, economics, a tour of the
Automation 2010 Fair, a tour of a medical device manufacturing plant, opportunities
for making new national and international business contacts, and a chance to see
what the best of the best in manufacturing are doing to earn the
  Manufacturer of the Year awards!
All this for just $350 - it is the best value for the money.  Can only make it for the
awards dinner? We can accommodate your schedule for just $100 and you can
participate in the dinner and reception only.

Ø  Are you a buyer?  This year’s program includes the first-ever Global Marketplace.
Showcasing Florida manufacturers, we have set aside 2pm-6pm on November 3rd
for you to have one-on-one time with our exhibitors.  Meet with companies that make
and sell products right here in our own state.
This is a FREE event for buyers visiting just the
    Global Marketplace exhibition.

Ø Want to start or expand your global presence? For just $1,000 you can exhibit and
attend the entire event, putting your name in front of the national and international
community!  If you are thinking about an exhibit, now is the time to act.

Enterprise Florida: Export Sales Mission to the Dominican Republic

Export Sales Mission to the Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo

February 13-16, 2011

Join Enterprise Florida for our upcoming Export Sales Mission to the Dominican Republic,
February 13-16, 2011. The Dominican Republic (DR) is Florida’s 9th largest trading partner
with total Florida-DR trade for 2009 surpassing $4 billion. Florida-origin exports to the
Dominican Republic are currently up 25% over last year.

The Dominican Republic is also the largest market of the
Central America-Dominican Republic-United States Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR)
countries. Florida enjoys the lion’s share of total U.S. exports to this Caribbean nation,
with almost 50% of all U.S. exports flowing through our state.

With the implementation of CAFTA-DR, there are significant opportunities for U.S. exporters:
80% of U.S. exports of consumer and industrial goods now enter the Dominican Republic
duty-free, with remaining tariffs on other products phased out over 10-20 years.

Our program will include an update on business opportunities in Haiti from the U.S. Commercial
Service experts and Haitian business organizations leading the reconstruction efforts in the region.

Best prospects for the Dominican Republic include the following industries:

  • Building Products
  • Automobile Parts & Services
  • Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Equipment
  • Medical Equipment
  • Hotel & Restaurant
  • Equipment
  • Printing & Graphic Art Equipment & Supplies
  • Computers & Peripherals
  • Telecommunication Equipment
  • Renewable Energy
  • Travel & Tourism Services
If your particular industry or product is not listed, it does not mean
that there are not ample opportunities in these markets. Please consult
with us and we will appraise your specific market opportunities.

Participation will be limited to a total of 15 Florida manufacturers, distributors,
exporters and service companies who best meet the participation criteria
Selection of these firms will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Final selection will be confirmed after a review to ensure market suitability.
